Hello!

This script is inspired by my own relationship with my parents as well as many similar stories and incidents that I've heard from other friends with immigrant parents. During a lot of high school, I explored the intricacies of why there are often conflicts between children and parents within immigrant households. I learned so much history and knowledge about the trauma that exists on both ends. As a result, there was a somewhat mutual understanding that came about within my household. It felt as if I grew to be more connected with my parents after conducting research with an open mind. Since coming to college, my relationship with my parents have continued to change and evolve. Inspired by an original piece I wrote about my mom for college apps, I believe this script was a creative, but also heartfelt ode to her.
